Orthopedics Hawaii is a state-of-the-art orthopedic immediate/urgent care clinic. Our mission is to improve the lives and well-being of our patients through a customized treatment plan.
We are centrally located next to Doctors of Waikiki in the Sheraton Princess Ka'iulani Hotel. We recommend scheduling an appointment by calling or emailing us. Please also verify your insurance is in-network prior to your appointment and if you have an HMO please ask your doctor for a referral.

Ultrasound Guided Procedures
At Orthopedics Hawaii, ultrasound imaging can be used to see the bone, ligaments, tendons, and nerves in real-time. Ultrasound-guided procedures such as Carpal Tunnel release and Trigger Digit release are possible in the office with only local anesthetic.
Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Sam Chen is the only person in Hawaii and 1 of 3 surgeons on the West Coast performing this procedure. Dr. Chen's early association with the US carpal tunnel surgery originates from a close association with the specialists at Mayo Clinic. We began this in 2017 before any other major city or university.
In addition to Oahu residents, we have patients fly in from the neighboring islands and the US mainland for the procedure. Learn more here.
In-person and telehealth appointments
Our orthopedic urgent care is conveniently located right next to Doctors of Waikiki. We validate for 1 hour in the Sheraton Princess Ka’iulani’s lot or recommend parking along the Ala Wai.

Orthopedics Hawaii is led by Dr. Sam Chen who has over 13+ years of experience as a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon.
Raised on the east coast, Dr. Chen has been living in Hawaii and serving the community since 2009.
